Hey guys. Newbie here. I just recently purchased a used Pungo 120 for fishing and am in the process of outfitting it. I have the whistle, small horn, bailer pump, PFD, anchor with trolley, and an orange flag (from a bicycle). I don't currently plan to be on the water after dark.
Two questions:

1. Is the white light required to be on board anywhere in NC or just in coastal waters?

2. Am I required to register the kayak in any way or have registration numbers on it?

light is requreid everwhere. has to be in the boat but does not have to be on a flash light will work but pole light is better. you are not required to register your kayak unless you put a gas or electric motor on it.
