I'm still trying to rig up my kayak and came across the StickIt system. I wanted to see if anyone has experience with using this. Would this be better than an anchor system??? I know the anchor system is cheaper, but is the stickit, that much better???

Depending on where I am fishing I carry a 10' homemade pvc stickit and/or an anchor. I have been on some trips where I don't use any and some where I use one or both.

I agree with gso140 ,it all depends on where and how you are fishing,EX.I have three anchors, one for pond/lake ,one for coastal water(sand) and one for rivers/creeks.and a stickit pole.Good luck and tight lines

I too use both. If I am fishing shallow I use a stick it every time. If the water is to deep for a stick it then I throw the anchor.

ok thanks guys, looks like I'll end up getting the anchor first, then the stickit, maybe the 5.5 one to save some money

We carry the 5.5', 7', and the 8' Stick-it pins at the shop, although we are currently out of the 7' pins, we should have more in late next week!

My vote is for the 7' Stick It. The one I had was much more convenient that my anchor in all situations.

Absolutely go with the 7 foot. It's an all around length that works in shallow water.

I have both & if I had to choose only one, it would be the trolley system with a claw anchor.
